Where did you earn your degree and practice medicine?

After earning my Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of California, Irvine, I went to the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine on St. Maarten. I then completed my residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY.

What inspired you to practice medicine?

There really isn’t a person or event that really inspired me to pursue Medicine. Rather, it has been the culmination of my life experiences has led me down this pathway and honestly, it feels right.

What do you enjoy most about your work as a physician?

I have always enjoyed learning new things and Medicine affords me this opportunity. It is a constantly changing field as new technologies and innovations have not only furthered our understanding of the human body, but how we can take care of patients as well.

When you aren’t hard at work at your office, what do you do to relax?

I like to exercise and play sports. I also love reading, listening to music, and watching movies.

How do you practice living a happy, healthy life?

As Churchill once said, “the pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Life can be unpredictable and I agree it is not worth focusing on the negatives.
