HALO Pap Test for the Breast

May 1, 2012

In 2008, we were given the opportunity to see a new risk-assessment test for breast cancer. The HALOTMPap Test for the Breast was made available to us and we immediately saw the huge benefits this risk assessment test would provide to our patients. The HALO Pap test for the Breast is designed to detect abnormal cells in the breast and it will revolutionize the way women are screened for breast cancer risk. It can detect precancerous breast disease up to eight years earlier than a lesion might be found on a mammogram. We recommend that all women from age 20 and older have the HALO Breast Pap Test to evaluate their risk.

The HALO breast pap test was featured on the Doctors show in Sept 2009. The HALO is a new lifesaving test that every woman needs to know about. It's a five-minute, non-invasive screening test for breast cancer. It is not a replacement for a mammogram, but it is a good tool, especially for younger women with a family history of breast cancer.
